We opened the box, laid out the parts to assemble the step stool and in about 45 minutes we had a great looking step stool. The process was relatively easy, but it will work better if someone who is used to using tools and following instructions well actually puts it together. It's so good we don't want to use it as a step stool. It's attractive and durable enough for the job, but good enough to be used for other things, like a plant (or whatever) on the ground or on a table. Definitely worth the money and very pretty.
