Review on 🐾 Odor-Controlled Carefresh Small Pet Bedding: 99% Dust-Free, Made from Natural Paper by Mariah Ray

Always buy this bedding for my guinea pig. The product description says "30 liters expandable to 60 liters". It usually lasts 5-6 weeks with a weekly drawer cleaning. It usually comes out of the bag in bits, which I then sprinkle around the box in smaller clumps. And relatively soft to the touch. When my guinea pig digs, it swells up a little more. This shipment arrived yesterday and I cleaned the cage today. I have some left over from my last bag and the difference between this new bag and the old one was amazing. It feels very dry and brittle, like little crumpled pieces of paper from a notebook. In the bag it crumbled into crumbs instead of big compressed chunks that expand when crushed by hand, it didn't expand and I had to use a lot more than usual. Not sure if it dried up somewhere in storage or the company changed the manufacturing process or something, but for $18 I'm not happy. My pet won't even be able to burrow in it and it will probably take less than 3 replacements. I like to stick with a product that I like and can trust, and that's not common at all. sneezing all the time. I've sneezed every time I've gone out to get it from the crate since I bought it, but thought it was new hay we bought at the same time. Today I replaced the Twix box with the rest of this bag (it only took 3 replacements instead of 6 from the same bags I bought earlier) but as soon as I put the Twix in it it started itching like crazy again and he and I both sneezed. So I'm taking it to Petsmart to buy something better. I will not be buying this again and I will be throwing away the entire last 1/3 of the bag I used today. So disappointed.
