I use it every day at work. As already mentioned, it is used for straining, not for brewing. I brew in a thermos and then pour through this device by running it over a cup. Works very well. It's true that some leaves get stuck under the lip. Every day since I've been using it at work, I clean all my tea utensils before I leave, and by morning the occasional leaf stuck in my lip has dried. I just wipe them with my finger. never mind The mesh is fairly rigid and should last a long time. I've been using it for about five months now.
