I love large mouse pads and usually use a large mouse pad with chic RGB lighting. The last two I bought were dirty (white coating) in just a few months. I washed them all the time. My office was kept clean and my hands were always clean, but it didn't matter. I decided to try one of these "leather" rugs. So far there hasn't been a single stain on it. It lies flat and looks beautiful. It smells, but it goes away after a few days. My only complaint and why I lowered 2 stars is that this is not my work or gaming mouse to work well with. This causes some resistance. It also slips a bit - I would definitely recommend a cork backing to prevent this. I will probably buy another one.
