I bought this lens with full understanding that it is both a used and older model. The lens had clearly been dropped by the previous owner when it arrived, but it seemed to work well enough. However, almost immediately we noticed that every photo taken with the lens was very cloudy, blurry and out of focus. The quality was so poor that even a 4x6 print made under optimal conditions was practically unusable. I attributed it to user error, thinking maybe I wasn't gripping my hand tight enough or not having a fast enough shutter speed given the conditions. I'm also just not the type to complain and I needed a lens for a planned photo shoot. So stupid I didn't ask for an immediate refund. Now after only 3 months of ownership the autofocus has completely stopped and doesn't work at all, just a slight buzzing noise making the lens unusable for me. So now I know what the problem was all along. For an aspiring photographer just starting out, such a loss of $500 or more is very hard to bear. When I sent Replay Tech an explanation of what had happened, I got a short reply with a repair recommendation.
