This RAM works great. I'm an IT industry professional with 25 years of experience and many certifications. Believe me, that's a good thing. Heat spreaders add very little thickness while providing heat dissipation. However, they are not glued and are easy to remove when you don't need them. Various RAM tests have shown that the memory meets all advertised specifications. I bought four 8GB sticks for a total of 32GB RAM and put them in a Lenovo W530 mobile workstation laptop with a quad-core 3rd gen Intel Core i7 processor running VMWare and other RAM-intensive applications to be executed. These memory cards worked like a champ. Definitely recommended.
