Just bought a pair of B&O PLAY by Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H3 ANC (Gunmetal Grey) headphones. I used Bose QuietComfort 20 ANC and wanted to test B&O against Bose. I've worn them on the plane and in the "noisy" office. Bose is still the benchmark. For noise cancellation, B&O came close to Bose. They sit comfortably in my ears. They work for quite a long time - 17 hours on a single charge. One of the biggest negatives of the B&O is that the cable is stiff and creates wind noise when moved, which degrades the sound quality and becomes annoying. I don't have that problem with Bose. My headphones for the ANC will be the Bose QC 20. The B&O H3 ANC will be the backup or replacement.
