Love these pants, bought 4 pairs - lightweight, great for hiking and working outdoors! As with ALL clothing, your fit will depend on your body shape. Pear-shaped figures, order one size larger. All other shapes must be true to size. I found them right on my hips, I have a 31" waist, 38" hips, and the medium and large sizes fit me, the large is a bit looser, but both sizes are very comfortable. I used them for heavy work in the garden at temperatures above 100 degrees, very comfortable and durable.
