Fantastic idea! Suboptimal implementation.

MAX 16 AMP Draw. :( I LOVE the adjustable sensors. The plug is poorly designed and covers almost every outlet on my UPS. This will sound an alarm if your pumps fail! It will sound an alarm if your pump has been running for more than 20 seconds. if your pump not working or if your pump is drawing more current than a certain level. The second mistake (IMHO) is that they wrap the wires to the sensors left to right instead of in a loop, which causes kinks in the lead wire.I have just put the ends in my cesspool but due to the way the cord was coiled they will need to be adjusted as the kinks will start to fall out of the cord.” The alarm went off and the switch stopped working I have both Lifted sensors out of the overflowing pit, the alarm went silent, I put the sensors back in and the pump started working, everything's been fine ever since - about 4 days.(Edit: unfortunately every few goes Days the alarm went off and the pumps stopped working. My pump has a maximum current of 20.5 A w rating.) I have it running with a 3/4 HP high pressure pump. The theory of operation is that the two sensors detect a tiny current passing through. (pump will then run) It also detects when power goes to ground and it depends on your pump's grounded plug (pump must be on/drawing power when ground is detected). If your pump's grounding is not good enough, you may need to add a ground wire to the sump. When both continuity and grounding are disabled, the water level is below both sensors and the pump is off. If it lasts for years it will be the best switch I have ever had. (Edit: I'm bringing it back and looking for something that supports 20 amps.)
