This would be an ideal tester if only it had HD SDI from a color bar generator. It also does far more than any other comparable tester on the market at 10x the price. I've heard about battery issues but just got mine and so far so good. I used a tester to test 1080i signals, but today I checked out 720p, which it should do, I couldn't get it to work.
