If you had the 2016 version of this computer, hacked it (they're all very fragile) and had it fixed a second time (oops), it would be almost as expensive as this newer refurbished one. my favorite macbook, the new air was huge for me and i first bought it as a replacement for a broken one but sent it back as soon as i arrived. It was exactly the computer I wanted and at a much lower price!
