I bought this heat sealer after being disappointed with the mini welder which died after one use. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy one of those big metal boxes right away. Initially I was very pleased with seemingly great features. without bothering with batteries and a product that appeared to be well made. I also liked the lock function. However, I had to seal about a dozen 4 inch wide bags and this thing burned my fingers at the end of those 12 bags! It should not be. If you still want this item I would recommend wearing a pair of winter gloves or something that protects your hands and is also non-flammable. Or do what I did and give it back to use the money on what I should have bought in the first place.
