Does not Record All the time

I got this dash camera just a precaution in case of any incidents. Well I got into a car accident and the camera was not even recording. I am not sure what triggers it to record/stop recording but it stopped recording right before the accident. Now I do not have any footage. I brought this camera exactly for this and it didn’t hold up to what I needed it to do. The picture quality is pretty good but other than that I would beware of the recording functionality.

Bought this camera after I was rear-ended. I know I could pay more and get a cordless one or super high quality picture but it does its job. Easy to set up. Easy to pull off video from memory card (I did have to buy an adapter for my laptop to accommodate the smaller memory card). If parked, you can read license plates. I do have trouble reading them in while driving. I have it set where screen turns off after 2min but continues to record so I''m not distracted continuously looking at it. Great buy. Will buy another one for other cars I own and probably one for back windshield as well. Good value!
