Got this as a gift because I smoke a lot of BBQ and my previous instrument died. Here's what I think about it. Advantages: Very easy to read, 4 food probes that store very well. It has a large and easy to read dial. Displays the temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius. on the back to secure for easy readingEasy to cleanUseful app features and setup on pointAccuracy seems on par with my pen for instant reading Cons: You have to use the app for initial setup and it's a bit of a hassle, especially since it's in the C -Application design preprogrammed. as a child he drew pictures. just feels underdeveloped and immature and makes you a little concerned that this is one of those fake apps that really steals your data behind the scenes. It really is. The device itself works great and the features in the app are handy, but I really wish it was easier to set up and you didn't have to use the app to get started. And I want the app to look more professional and clean. If it looked pretty, it would greatly enhance users' confidence in the quality of the product.
