I have a cat who recently decided that a corner of my living room is her litter box. The vet can't find anything about him, except maybe he's an idiot. On the recommendation of the vet, I bought a litter box to put in that corner and got one of those mats because it was in the litter box at Walmart. The water resistance was a nice bonus but not for me to buy. I cannot express how excited I am about its water resistance! Unfortunately, my cat is still an idiot and only uses the new litter box occasionally, but all of his recent litter incidents have been in the litter box. And VERY easy to clean! The water/urine just flows out when you turn it sideways, so I carefully scoop it up, put it in the tub and let the urine drain out. Quickly wipe down with some enzymatic carpet cleaner to prevent possible future pees, rinse thoroughly, then simply hang to dry. It drains completely in just a few minutes and can be back in the corner next to the tray before more mishaps happen! I bought the smaller one at Walmart but bought the XL here at Revain to cover the rest of the troublesome corner near the trash can. I would love for my stupid cat to stop peeing on the floor but when he does I'm so happy I have these waterproof rugs to save my rug and make cleaning easier! Concerned about durability. I've washed the small one about 6 times and not the large one yet and it seems to be holding up well. But the back is just a thin piece of plastic. If there's a hole, then it's all likely to flow out of that hole. But it's a great prize, even if it might get a hole one day.
