This rashguard has a high mileage. The sleeves are so long that it would make sense if they had a hole for your thumbs and then protect your wrists and upper arms from the sun. This is a shirt with no lining or built-in bra. I was afraid it would be tight but not worth ordering a size up. It's very comfortable with no rips or protruding threads but not as tight as I probably should. If I was swimming seriously it would create too much drag. As I bought this to swim in my home pool I am keeping it to myself as it is perfect for playing and I will even take it to the beach. Just make sure you pull it up if you want to swim a lot of laps in a row without too much resistance. The shorts I found were too tight and short. You can wear it at home, but I would feel uncomfortable wearing it in public. They don't have a high waist so the top does cover everything, but if you only wear both and bend over a lot when you're gardening or playing with the kids, the shirt can slide down and show too much of the back with part of yours ass exposed. They're also cropped to hit most of my thigh and are a little tight. I have big hips so skinny people may not have this problem. I love the design, I think it's almost always flattering so I order matching longer pants which are sold separately.
