Not tested on my husband yet. I like its flat surface for use on women's hamstrings to reduce the appearance of cellulite in my side mobile massager along with silicone cups. I worry about the cord fraying around the edges the same way my cord does in my recycling bins. I searched the internet for a fleece pillowcase and only saw one Jeanie Rub cover. I'm smart and stick with Joanne's fabrics to make them my own. I have to say that the power it contains flows through my arms and hands and seems to keep my own upper limbs from forming a carpal tunnel or scar tissue from repeated use. At $139 it's a good deal, but I also don't like the "as is" guarantee they put on the card to go with the boxed item. Makes me think of many possible scenarios where this item was a problem for the people using it and couldn't be replaced. It's like this company has more problems than benefits to get a refund, replace or repair an item and they just want to get it over with. However, I'm working too hard and don't have time to look into this at the moment and will deal with this by writing an edited negative review if that turns out to be the case.
