The clock arrived broken. If the display is dimmed with a dimmer, the display flickers on and off briefly after a few minutes before it finally goes completely dark and is no longer legible even in the dark of night. When the clock beeps, you have several options for periods. The sound is also satisfactory for a small inexpensive bedside clock.
