Like most people (I suspect) looking for this, I had a set of Panasonic cordless home phones. I bought additional extensions (up to six) and placed them on my property (about an acre) for the VOIP line I was installing. But unfortunately, like most, the batteries eventually ran out to the point where even a 20 minute call would have killed them and I would have had to run for another extension for about the same amount of time. Can't really complain, although these batteries were the original Panasonic batteries that came with the phone system when I bought it 10 years ago I benefited *more* from it. So it's time to replace almost $4 for a genuine Panasonic brand battery - but jeez - I just couldn't imagine spending almost $50 (2 batteries per extension) with taxes on it. That's what made me want to find her. BE CAREFUL! Don't just search for "Panasonic compatible AAA" or even the model number of your cordless phone! I gave it a try and thank goodness I looked at the battery specs. I wouldn't be happy. No, look for batteries by the model number printed ON THE BATTERY to ensure you select the correct kit (apparently Panasonic has several AAA batteries but with different ratings and voltages). I can't comment on the battery life as I have them, I've only had them for a few weeks but I'm so happy with them. They come with a certain charge, but to make sure everything is fine, plug it into your phone and let this phone extender stay on the charger for at least 8 hours (preferably overnight) just to be sure. When I received it mine checked in fully charged but died after about an hour - I was willing to send it back but decided to give it a night to be sure. so glad i did! Charging was perfect for days on standby, and I didn't have to run to another extension or call someone back because they ran out of gas. my situation) but since I'm using all eight in this pack I'll be using it to store some of the other AAA batteries I have. But even if you don't use them all, they're convenient to have on hand and the case ensures you don't lose them. Extensions today!
