Review on Wi-Fi adapter TP-LINK Archer T4E, green by Stanislaw Buzala ᠌

Disgusting, will never recomend it for anybody!

The Realtek 8812AE chip, on which this adapter is based, is the primary issue. Simply said, it cannot operate at 5GHz, at least not in accordance with RF rules. provides service on a small number of channels that don't even cross my router's path. The D-Link DWA-582 adapter on the functional machine is on the same chip and functions exactly the same. After I connected the adapter to the computer, Windows 10 immediately installed the necessary drivers. If the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks are separate, then it simply doesn't connect to the 5 GHz point. If the network uses automatic band switching, then it connects to 2.4 GHz, then switches to 5 GHz and the network dies, the speed is about 0 (see screenshot), there are constant packet skips, and the network drops off after that. The network won't reconnect again until you restart the adapter. The scenario above is repeated after restarting the adapter. I tried hard-coding the channel number in the registry and installing drivers from the supplied DVD, the tp-link website, and Realtek's official website, but they had no impact. The network advises identifying the channel that the adapter and router operate on and firmly connecting it to the router, but this is already a last-ditch effort and will have an impact on every connected device. It costs at least three times as much and operates at 2.4 GHz less efficiently than a USB 2.4 GHz whistle with the same capability. Fortunately, the service center confirmed the flaw when I brought it in for warranty repair with the claim that it "does not work in the 5GHz band." They then issued an act of non-repairability, returned this miracle to the retailer, and the money was refunded. I tried to purchase TP-Link for the first time, but I won't use them again.)

Pros
  • performs the duties of a 300-piece 2.4GHz USB whistle. painted box filled with a bunch of lies.
Cons
  • Even throughout the design phase, the product did not satisfy the requirements, and the maker seems unconcerned. Read the reviews online and on the tp-link forum; the iron is stillborn.

Not suitable for online gaming. I ordered an adapter for 2.5k on alik and now I don’t know grief.
