Paint is peeling off the handle
I've never had a problem with da Vinci brushes but this time I got the brushes back. I bought two different packs of Da Vinci brushes in the same order and both packs had the same problem. When I took the brushes out of the original plastic bag, I noticed traces of paint (the same color as the brush handle) in the bag. I wiped the pen with a paper towel and the paint came off. Also, the brushes suddenly smelled of gasoline right after I wiped them with a paper towel. That issue aside, the da Vinci quality brushes look very nice.
