It tastes sweet when put in the mouth.
Before proceeding to the peeling part you will need to go through the first layer of wax, but once you have done that you will be fine. It tastes sweet if you taste a little of it in your mouth, but other flavors it contains are not very pleasant. I wet my lips and rub the "lipstick" back and forth across my lips, then focus on problem areas. I then rub exfoliating bits on my lips and then wipe them off with a cloth dampened with warm water. Although the scrub itself contains moisturizing ingredients, it's definitely important to add a lip balm or other moisture barrier immediately after use. It really helps make matte lipsticks smoother.
