I bought these to wear with my kilt, and I'm used to stiff leather that gets uncomfortable by the end of several hours at a renfest. These have a little bit of room around the middle and past the toe but are snug in the arches with plenty of support.It may be faux leather, but it looks real enough and just a little black shoe polish makes it look like a darker, naturally mottled rich leather. They're brand new but after I've had them a while I'll see if I can update this.
