Before buying, I used a whale 18-55mm f / 3.5-5.6 IS II. I didn’t understand why the staff members were scolding. After the acquisition, I convinced myself of everything. On the EF 50, the picture is really juicier and more voluminous, but the constant focus, the viewing angle is limited. I got used to the constant focus, although sometimes the viewing angle was not enough. Sometimes you want versatility, to capture more in the frame. Because of this, I decided to take the old 18-55 on a sightseeing trip. Then he regretted it. Its versatility has not been justified. The frame capture suits, and the pictures, in comparison with the EF 50, are flat, everything is missing. Thinking about buying a wide-angle. But kind people advised a program for docking panoramic shots. Now, if there is not enough viewing angle on a fifty-fifty piece, I simultaneously take several pictures from one point, then on the computer everything is quickly stitched together - cut off. The question on the wide-angle has disappeared so far. So for beginners, I definitely recommend this lens.
