Simple process and good remote control - compatible with others?

I bought several other remote controls and the locksmith programmed them into my car. They didn't have much range at all. When they died three years later, I only had an original key. With the original key and this kit I got it working in minutes. You must first learn the instructions and type of exercise in your head. You can't just run away and do it. However, it's still easy. If you have 2 keys on my car, you can program the third, fourth and so on. This one and my original don't program a new one this way, so I'm wondering if I can get another of the same (not a full set) to program. It would be nice to have a spare. But let me tell you it's a good key. I don't have to try to aim in different directions to block him from afar. With other non-original keys I had to try, try, try. So if you only have one key and don't want to pay a fortune to a locksmith, I think this is a good way to go.
