They had such a strong chemical smell when we opened them that we almost passed out. We left them open in the garage for a good week before they became tolerable. It's never a good feeling. They fit my daughter perfectly and she loved riding around the house in them. It's cool that they glow, but when you wear them they're almost invisible! Yes, they are difficult to see in daylight. This feature, while nifty, wasn't as cool as it sounded (and it certainly makes sense that you can't see it, but in the excitement of getting it, don't thank me for it). She said they were comfortable enough. She hasn't taken them outside yet because she lost her safety gear, and I won't let her on the concrete without it.
