Not recommended for heavy use

I bought this to put at the top of the stairs so my dogs wouldn't come down. The parts were well organized and included a near miss screw drilling guide. It's all white so very clean and tidy. That's where the positives end. DESIGN REVIEWS: The metal is light, perhaps too light to score. The manual does NOT describe how to handle the floor covering; we still don't know if we should crash straight in or not. We decided against it and the ball doesn't touch the ground, so there's a big gap between the ground and the goal. By the way, Footy is made of hard plastic and won't scratch hardwood floors. Be prepared to put felt underneath. If you have small dogs THAT IS A PROBLEM - they will squirm right under him. These gates should also not be used in high traffic areas. Frequently opening, closing and swinging the gate door will eventually loosen the brackets and your gate will come out of the wall. This happened to us and we used heavy duty bolts and it happened again. We're all adults, so it wasn't because it was being played by kids - it was used quite normally. Now it's just a useless piece of metal. This is a very light and inexpensive gate. If that's what you're looking for, this is a good choice. If not, then don't waste your money. Create something better with a better structure. Especially if you have small dogs.
