As others have noted, the charging cable that comes with the Charge 5 is a bit on the short side but does work well. However, if you want to check the charge level at any time during the process, you have to be careful as the included charger can be dislodged rather easily. I saw this charging stand, read some of the reviews and thought it sounded both logical and reasonably priced. I am so happy I bought it. First, it is very stable meaning it won't tip over or slide around easily. Next, it does provide a more secure connection to my Charge 5 and charges as fast or faster than the included cord. Also, the longer cord on this stand allows greater flexibility in placement of the charger. I've had this stand for a little more than a month and have used it 3 times. I allow my Charge 5 to drop to less than 20% battery life before putting it on this stand. Every time it has taken 1 hour and 35-40 minutes to charge back to 100%. However, I've noted that the Charge 5 will be back to 99% in just 60-65 minutes. Moreover, I found that if I change my Charge 5's display setting to "Always On" before putting on this stand, I can just double-tap the screen to see the current charge level without disturbing the connection or moving the stand.
