Thanks to another reviewer for these procedures as they worked great. Easy to program on my 2012 F-150. I had 2 original keys, one of which only worked for the ignition, so with these two I could program everything myself.1. I took the keys to Ace Hardware first and they were both cut for $6! 2. Then I programmed the transmitter button. You can do it yourself if you have two working keys.3. I finally programmed the keychains. Programming the key/jewel took less than 10 minutes. Key fobs can be programmed with just one working key. Instructions below Programming the key transmitter (if your key transmitter is not programmed, the keys will turn but the starter will not engage and the engine will not start).1. Insert the first previously programmed key into the ignition switch.2. Switch the ignition on from position 1 (LOCK) to position 3 (RUN). Hold the ignition in position 3 (RUN) for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.3. Turn the ignition to position 1 (LOCK) and remove the first coded key from the ignition switch.4. Within ten seconds of turning the ignition to position 1 (LOCK), insert the second previously coded key into the ignition switch.5. Switch the ignition on from position 1 (LOCK) to position 3 (RUN). Hold the ignition in position 3 (RUN) for at least three seconds, but no longer than 10 seconds.6. Switch the ignition to position 1 (LOCK) and remove the second previously programmed code key from the ignition switch.7. Within twenty seconds of turning the ignition to position 1 (LOCK) and removing the previously programmed coded key, insert a new unprogrammed key (new key/service key) into the ignition switch.8. Switch the ignition on from position 1 (LOCK) to position 3 (RUN). Hold the ignition in position 3 (RUN) for at least six seconds. The locks go through successful programming.9. Remove the newly programmed key from the ignition switch. If the key is successfully programmed, it will start the car engine and activate the remote access system (if the new key is the built-in key head transmitter). The theft indicator will illuminate for three seconds and then turn off to indicate successful programming. My keys open the door and start the truck. At this point part of the key fob was not working. Then I performed the following procedure. Door Key Programming1. Close all doors, then open the driver's door and press the unlock button on the driver's door while it is open.2. Within 10 seconds, cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times, ending with RUN on the 8th time. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm you have entered programming mode (Off is the position where you can remove the key, "Run" is the position where you can hardly start the car. When the door locks don't work, try again.but faster.If they still won't start, your car may not have keyless entry)3. Within 8 seconds, press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. The door locks will be cycled through to confirm the programming. If you only have one remote control, skip to step 5.4. Press any button on the second keyless remote within 8 seconds. The door locks will click again to confirm the programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remote controls.5. Turn off the ignition. The locks will cycle through again, indicating the end of programming mode.
