Average product, excellent customer service

I would say I like it except only 50% of the order worked. At first these keyless options seemed like a great deal, costing half the price of an authorized dealer. The problem is that only one button worked. We went to the dealer to have the keys adjusted, which cost us $45 (and only one worked). When contacted, the company asked me to send in the defective key (at my expense) and send a replacement. A few weeks later I got a replacement, brought it back to the workshop. And again it didn't…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Minor issues

Car owner very satisfied

My wife's two original 2014 Ford Explorer dealer remotes were damaged after 6 years. After examining the key, remote control and chip at the dealer, it was clear that we were not paying their outrageous prices. I spoke to an insured professional locksmith in our area and he advised me to buy them here at Revain. We love the prices we got them here and he charged us a very good price for cutting and programming the keys. The uncut keys here came in new packaging, sealed and unused which is great

2012 Explorer - Uncut Blank Car Ignition Key

My OEM keys started to fail, buttons didn't work and wouldn't open or lock remotely. Tried this replacement option to avoid the dealer price but ran out of options. These keys worked great, programmed in less than 1 minute and I'm so glad I saved $220 per key. You must have BOTH original OEM keys to program replacement keys. I asked Home Depot to cut my keys but I didn't cut them properly because their machine is not designed to cut new model keys - their machines only cut keys. I recommend…

I found a great auto mechanic here in Knoxville

In 2010 Ford switched from 40-bit chips to 80-bit chips in their key fobs. When non-genuine key fobs that appear to be Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are bought online (i.e. from non-accredited dealers or locksmiths), they are still essentially legitimate 80-bit keys with new blades and housings. WARNING: If a reconditioned 80-bit key was EVER programmed into a pre-2010 Ford (specifically the F-150), then that key (chip) was restricted (read; locked) from programming as a 40-bit key…

  • Great price

Like the originals

Initially I had two issues with the keys that would have forced me to give a less than stellar review. First, the clerk at the locksmith cut one key correctly and the other key incorrectly. Using the instructions the locksmith gave me, I was able to program the properly cut key to manually lock and unlock the door and start the engine. However, I couldn't program it to lock and unlock the door remotely. Since there was no way to return both keys, I felt stuck. The locksmith ordered another key…

Perfect replacement for the OEM Key & FOB combo

Bought these for my son's Mercury Mountaineer 05 who had a broken key and separate key fob. The fobs came and instead of just swapping them out I decided to use a combo key/fob with chip as they were basically the same price. The programming guide, available through the website link included in the package, was quick and easy. From cutting the keys to receiving the keys and programming the remote took less than 10 minutes. Not all places can cut these keys. Most hardware stores I worked at…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Not Programmable on 2013 Ford Edge

Neither key in this set of two keys from KeylessOption (RemoteRemote.com) is programmable. I followed the description of the procedure in the 2013 Ford Edge owner's manual (which is the same as most online 3rd party videos). These buttons just don't program (after 3 iterations for each of the 2 buttons, 6 attempts total). The paperweight keys have been returned. They cannot be used to start the vehicle as they are not successfully programmed by the vehicle's programming mechanism. (I have two…

Works like clockwork

Thanks to another reviewer for these procedures as they worked great. Easy to program on my 2012 F-150. I had 2 original keys, one of which only worked for the ignition, so with these two I could program everything myself.1. I took the keys to Ace Hardware first and they were both cut for $6! 2. Then I programmed the transmitter button. You can do it yourself if you have two working keys.3. I finally programmed the keychains. Programming the key/jewel took less than 10 minutes. Key fobs can be…
