Amazing that you can get something so useful for so little money. I used it to diagnose capacitors in a power supply unit in an LCD TV. He was able to read most of the capacitors in the circuit, but some had to be removed from the circuit to get good readings. It's just a bare board so it needs some wiring. I used the router bit in my drill press to cut a hole in a piece of high density foam to place the board and battery. It took about 15 minutes to fabricate a suitable board mount. Contrary to another comment, I didn't notice any battery leakage when the board was not in use, so I don't see the need for a switch to isolate the battery. I don't have any expensive gauges to compare, but I was able to use it to identify a discharged capacitor, so it was worth it the first time I used it.
