Packaged to prevent damage in transit. A little tuff for the installation due to the location and lack of space where it will be installed. I highly recommend while it's clean and stain free maybe spraying it with a clear coat to protect the finish if that's possible. It scratches very easily. I took mine back (ugh) and did just that after a week of use. After cleaning I applied several coats of clear coat and since then everything has been fine. Food for thought folks! I highly recommend this stove.
