I spent too much time looking for the best wall scanner and watching comparison videos on youtube etc. I was hoping to find an accurate, high quality, durable product, even if expensive. The purpose of this tool was to find studs for TV wall mounting as well as pictures etc. In the end I found that there is no really better and more reliable brand (at least my discovery). Even the more expensive supposedly high-quality brand didn't live up to the hype after seeing the reviews everywhere. So I bought it for the features (also for finding metal and electrical cords), but also for the beautiful screen and ease of use. It worked very well. I think one thing should be noted that I think another review mentions either this product or another brand - but it's still good advice - if you place the device on the wall and press the side button to calibrate, you need to make sure you don't measure the bolt yourself. I hope that makes sense. This helps me find a spot where I'm sure there isn't a bolt, calibrate it there, and then move it along where I want to nail/screw to find the bolt. The accuracy is also not accurate to the millimeter, so to speak. I was looking for a bolt once, thought I found the center, but found it off the edge and drilling through the drywall. Turns out I had to go a bit to the left. All of these brands have similar technologies and do not assume "precise, precise" accuracy. It doesn't do x-ray vision. ;) Anyway, I ended up buying it because I think it works for my needs as well as any other brand, it's simple and easy to use and the price is great.
