I've had the IRS303 for about 60 days now and absolutely love it! The sound is superb for such a small speaker - keep in mind this is not a stereo speaker. The volume is very good. You may be turning the volume up higher than expected. But first, make sure your device's volume is set to full volume. The battery life is at least 6 hours. The speaker actually lets you know with an announcement rather than just a flashing light when the battery is low, although you get that too. I use mine to enhance and boost the sound on my iPad and PC when listening to podcasts. I also use it when I ride my bike. It has a handy snap hook that I can attach to my bike basket so the device doesn't fly out of the basket if I hit a bump! You have bluetooth mode, FM radio and line mode. The FM radio option is a bit sketchy and static, but I don't use it for that at all. The cable has a headphone jack on one end and a USB jack on the same cable. I use a USB plug to charge my laptop. The third connector on the cable is a small DC line that connects to the device. A full charge of the speaker (via the laptop's charging port) takes just over 3 hours. The speaker has a non-slip surface on the bottom for safety. The speaker also has a connector marked "TF" but I'm not sure what it's for. I have never used it. Conclusion: I would buy this speaker again and again! Good price, fast delivery, good customer service and great speaker.
