Review on JXD Classic Nostalgia Console Dual Core by Cory Miles

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price but a few problems

All in all this little device is almost as described/advertised. Good value for money I would say. PS1 games also run very smoothly - significantly better than, for example, with the RG350. I will divide my review into the following categories: 1. The build quality is not very good. All plastic. Not bad, not great.2. Screen - Very good. Although probably not IPS as advertised. But great for what it is. The HDMI output also works. It should be noted that 4:3 aspect ratio is not supported. It stretches games in 16:9 format. That's fine for most games (ie I'm not that picky), but for vertical shooters it's pretty awful.3. yes Here's the biggest problem I have with it. The arcade joystick and on-device buttons could be better, but they're not that bad. Quite useful. However, two gamepads were supplied with this machine. very very bad. They're uncomfortable to hold for long periods of play, and the D-pads just aren't responsive enough. I tried to connect my Nintendo Switch controllers but it didn't work. I am currently looking for 3rd party controllers that will work with this device. Compatibility – This device supports FBA (including NEOGEO, CP1, CP2, etc.), MD, SNES, NES, N64 (although not very well), GG, PS1 and some others. BUT this does not start MAME. Would like to browse a little before buying. I am sure this may be the deciding factor for some.
