I did not really purchase these as "shapewear" after reading the other reviews. I just wanted something comfortable to wear under a sundress to give a little more coverage and they work perfect for that. Fabric is comfortable and seems like it will be breathable. While it doesn't really have compression like shapewear, it does provide some smoothing. I wear a size 18 jeans, 5'5" 200lbs and the XXL fits well and maybe could have went with an XL.
