I've always been skeptical of over-the-top reviews so I'll try not to overdo it. . It won't be easy, because this device is really excellent in many ways. First off, it's visually stunning. The fit and finish outshine my technivorm and it's clear the designers were obsessed with the idea that both the aesthetics and functionality of this device were second to none. And boy did they do it! You can program the brewing temperature, whether you want it soft, medium or strong, or you can just hit the 'golden' setting that meets SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) standards and let the machine do the rest. Just tell him how many cups of water you poured and you're done. It comes with a high quality gold tone filter, so you can choose to use it or use #4 cone paper filter according to your personal taste. It brews fairly quickly, after brewing the coffee is hot. Best of all, the heating plate keeps you warm for two hours, after which it switches off automatically. It has a handy app that allows you to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, allowing you to control the functions of this coffee maker from anywhere. An added benefit is that it ensures the clock is always set to the correct time (think: power outages, daylight saving time, etc.). Did I mention how simply gorgeous it sits on the kitchen table? Oh yes, the coffee tastes absolutely fantastic! Well, I guess I couldn't avoid exaggerating, but it's hard when something is really excellent.
