Review on ๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Black Prepac Large Four-Sided Spinning Tower Storage Cabinet by Joseph Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Definitely worth it, but think about it

Here's my experience: First, realize that thing is heavy! It comes in two packages. One weighs 70 pounds and the other weighs 36 pounds. The assembled tower (excluding shelves) weighs approximately 90 pounds. If you plan to assemble the tower in one place and move it to the final location, a moving truck will come in very handy. Second, I found the tower to be very easy to assemble. The instructions are clear and all the pre-drilled holes are perfectly aligned. Third, the included plastic lazy susan is very easy to install. However, I decided to buy Susan Steel Lazy Hardware for $4 and I'm glad I did. This device was shipped without instructions. and I had to figure out how to install it. It definitely requires some 3D rendering. You will also need a 3/4" drill bit to make an access hole or two in the base plate. Finally, like many other reviewers, I found that the shelves needed to be 9 inches apart. This means that six shelves can be installed on each of the four sides. This configuration creates a slightly deeper space at the bottom for larger clamshell VHS cases. I found I could fit 18 DVDs on one shelf. Thus, the capacity of a tower configured in this way is approximately 18 x 7 x 4 = 504 DVDs. When you mix VHS tapes, the capacity decreases. It was a big project for this 85-year-old man, but I'm very happy with the result. Like many other reviewers, I felt the shelves were 9 inches apart.
