Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhanced Support and Comfort Adjustable Head Strap for Oculus Quest 2 VR Headset by CNBEYOUNG โ€“ Elevate Your VR Gaming Experience (Quest 2 Headset Not Included) by Quintin Gore

Great product, horrible instructions

The headgear works well when worn. I bought this to replace the stock head strap as it was putting pressure on my forehead. This works almost perfectly. A screw on the back makes adjustment easy, but the velcro has to be moved if you open it much wider than where you have it for your head. Velcro has a strange texture that touches the head; it does not hurt. It's smooth, but when you sweat it shows wet spots. When tightening the strap on my head, it makes a cranking noise (I find it funny, like screwing my head tight). I sweat a little more because it's so close and secure to my face. The other left a gap that allowed for slight air movement to dry. I used to have a problem with blurred vision in many positions other than Goldilocks point. It completely dissolved. Under certain conditions (headset is cold but face is warmer and I'm already sweaty) I've noticed occasional fogging of the lenses with both headbands. This problem can be solved with more airflow or another facial interface designed for it. Pulling to the max and playing for the full battery life can cause the odd pressure point. So don't squeeze your head too hard or it may hurt over time. Also, don't ignore the top Velcro strap that helps balance the weight at the front and distributes it throughout the headstrap. I still really like this headband. After trying Quest 1, I realized I wasn't as in love with design as I thought I was. That's because I hate making small adjustments when I put the headset back on. Quest 1 has room to stretch out a bit to fit your head, so you don't have to repeat adjustments when putting it on and taking it off. I had no issues with it breaking (contrary to the review mentioned) and don't expect it. It's really thick plastic and hearty. I have no intention of purchasing a battery, so I cannot guarantee the product will or will not work with this accessory. I agree with other reviews that it is difficult to put together. The instructions are poorly written when you get them. Ironically, the numerical order not only goes left to right and then down, it forces you to follow an "S" shaped arrow. That's why I only gave four stars. It was a little difficult to put on. There should be five parts and instructions. I have provided a detailed version on how to assemble it properly. Assembly instructions: 1. Remove the Oculus 2 front panel (foam and plastic).2. Detach the original headgear. It is firm and makes a slight click when disassembled or reassembled.3. Detach the Velcro from the original strap on the top front rectangular loop of the Oculus 2.4. Make the new main strap longer on the sides by twisting the handle on the back.5. Locate the four small plastic pieces used to attach the straps. The L parts that fit together on the left side of the Oculus and the R parts that fit together on the right side.6. Arrange the L-small and L-large pieces around the left side of the main piece on the headgear (the velcro should be facing up and will be on the left side). Then repeat on the right side. Tip: I have found that it is best to place the left/right small portion on a flat surface and then attach the main portion of the strap to the larger portion. The connection requires strength and perfect position. A clicking sound is also generated.7. Attach the now connected headgear to the left and right sides of the Oculus 2.8. Thread the Velcro through the top loop of your Oculus 2.9. Place the front piece back onto the Oculus 2.10. Adjust to fit your head as needed. A handle on the back loosens and tightens the headband.
