When I opened the box, the top cap of the stylus was not attached (as shown in the picture). The top cannot be reattached. As a result, I couldn't turn on Bluetooth. This isn't the first time I've used Bamboo. I had another pen (which I lost - hence the order). I don't remember any problems with activating the first handle. I wonder if this seller will ship the returned item. Very disappointing. update 15.07. – I am returning the pen I bought from this Revain seller. I just bought a new pen from my local Best Buy. The pack I bought instead of Revain was probably a throwback. The battery was already in the handle (not in the compartment) and the top cover was removed (and couldn't be reinstalled). I mentioned the Microsoft rep at Best Buy regarding the condition of the pen and he definitely said it wouldn't work without the top cap. I will never buy from this seller again. Be aware, possibly - this supplier may send a defective item which I will ship back to you!
