After a week the fragrance does not spread through the sticks
I have several small neck bottles that I use for these incense sticks. In two of them I use safflower oil as a carrier and in one I use water and vodka as a carrier. I use recipes with 1/4 cup safflower oil and 30 drops flavoring or 1/4 cup water plus 1 teaspoon vodka and 30 drops flavoring and mix thoroughly. I also change the ends of the sticks every day. The aroma will remain for some time after the replacement, but not for long. The carriers do not migrate up the sticks and saturate them with the scented mixture.
