They were perfect for what you did were needed for me. I wanted a storage bin that could hold small items since my shelves are made of wire. Even though I have hard plastic inlays on my shelves, I tend to tip things over and have them fall and/or roll off the shelf. The fabric feels like denim. The rigid cardboard is thick, but not as thick as a bound book. I mean you can bend. The straps/handles are very thick but I only use them for decoration. If you tie the ends together, you can use them to lift and move the container. Will work if you don't want to spend a lot of money.
