I bought these because I noticed receding gums and was afraid of gingivitis. After considering many options, I settled on this one for its portability and low cost. When I opened the packaging I was immediately impressed. There is nothing better than a good first impression of good packaging. The holdall was even more impressive. It smelled wonderful, like the smell of a new car. The way the light reflected off the structured tote was quite impressive. The device itself seemed complicated with lots of bells and whistles at first glance, but despite all the bells and whistles it was very intuitive and easy to learn - I didn't even need a manual. Simply unscrew the bottom cap and replace with the top cap, which now doubles as a water reservoir. The device has 4 modes: normal, soft, pulsating and nasal. It comes with 4 floss tips, 1 rubber tip and 1 nose tip. I have found that they are all very effective. Here's how I tested it: After a protein-rich meat meal, I had some food between my teeth. I usually floss in the afternoons but this time I took the floss and tried water flossing instead and managed to get all the food out from between my teeth. Right after that I cleaned with regular floss to see if there were any extra bits I could dig up and nothing. Nose mode was a journey! It was a very uncomfortable experience with discomfort that bordered on painful sensations in my upper sinuses but it was short lived and I felt amazingly clear afterwards so I think the pain was worth it. Especially with the threat of COVID-19, which attacks the nasal mucous membranes, this function is very important! I have been using traditional yarn for many years! But I definitely feel like flossing is more effective, I feel like my mouth is cleaner and it's definitely faster. The only downside is that it's messier: it's hard not to splash water on my bathroom mirror. However, there is no reason to give up all the benefits. I am going to get this for my mom as she asked about my experience with this and I think she will love it. Highly recommended!
