I had my doubts if they would actually work as the clip itself doesn't touch the bobbin thread at all but sits on the edge of the bobbin and the bobbin can still rotate in the holder. But coupled with the spool thread holder pins to hold the spool over the spool of thread, it's a great combination. The pins hold the spool clamp and spool of thread snugly and firmly so the clamps don't rotate and the same thread spool is always together, without any threads sticking out. I would prefer to order all clear clips as this is less distracting when looking at the thread color from above.
