I installed this in a Toshiba A300 laptop, the boot time and computer programs improved quickly, and internet access was faster too. When I tried this for the first time with the USB drive container it showed nothing, the hard drive was not found because when installed on a laptop with AHCI selected in the bios it was completely empty and showed up immediately. The MX Linux installed on it, which was also fast compared to the hard drive, really made the laptop a new computer. I pulled it out and put it in another laptop to check it said error and stopped, bad sectors appeared on shutdown, bad disk errors, like the hard disk had failed. Went back to the original laptop and the drive was fine with no bad sectors or errors. The drive says it's MLC, which is two bits per cell, but also says 3d, which is 3 bits per cell, not sure which one, but it runs fast (no speed test as this old laptop has SATA I or II , not III). The hard drive appears at 111 gigabytes and is formatted to 108 gigabytes, which is common to all hard drives.
