This mug has a sturdy plastic mug handle that feels brittle to the touch, similar to plastic. The plastic is thick but not as good as Rubbermaid cups. I needed to measure a small amount of liquid as accurately as possible. It's not 1/8 cup. The smallest amount of a cup is 1/4. I wasn't aware of that when I bought it, otherwise I would have reconsidered the purchase. It annoys me that this isn't as accurate as it could be. I had to measure small amounts and that doesn't allow it. I can handle that, but a 1/8 cup would be great for him. The nose is sharp, the point I used to dig into my dry hands and cut myself. It goes in the trash can. This is not what I needed and should not be returned.
