I bought this cable to use with my Fostex rp20rp mk3 phones. Some are carved on the right side shell so I filed the right corner to the phones a bit to allow for a better connection (enough room) so I'd say it tightened the bass a bit, not quite as foggy and the Sound is a bit more open/bigger soundstage and maybe the phones just added a bit more volume compared to the standard cable, but that could also be because the music is a bit more front/effect. The cable is thicker than most standard cables / much thicker than some portable phones, but I use them at home so that's welcome. It's a slightly stiffer cable, but that doesn't really bother me. We'll see how it holds up, but it doesn't look like it's causing me any problems. So far I'm happy with this cable and it's definitely worth the money.
