Review on ๐ŸŽฎ BHUTAN Gaming Chair: Ultimate Comfort and Style for Gaming and Office Work by Nikki May

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Robust gaming chair that is easy to assemble.

I ordered this chair because my previous gaming chair didn't even last a year. This chair was almost impossible to put together, with offset openings and a form factor that made sure the things that really mattered fit perfectly. So I was worried about this assembly job. While the fully pictorial instructions weren't always entirely clear (the main problem was figuring out the pictorial orientation of the seat part), assembly was very easy. The holes lined up well and the pieces had wider holes to allow for a bit of adjustment, although it wasn't necessary. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble, but that was partly due to my own clumsiness and not the product. Now for the pros and cons: PROS* Chair looks good. It's very smooth and I like the look of the green color. I would have preferred the purple option but there wasn't one so I went with my second favorite color and I wasn't disappointed.* This is a solid chair. There is no feeling that it will collapse or break. I'm a heavy guy (260 lbs) and feel secure in this chair.* It rolls well. Nothing drives me crazier than a chair that squeaks or gets stuck when it rolls or leans to one side or the other. These wheels are smooth.* Vertically adjustable arms. That was not the case with my last chair. It was an altitude, which was annoying. Sometimes I like them open, but other times I want them down so they don't get in the way when I put my hands in my lap. This chair is perfect for both situations.* The pillow in the headrest is very comfortable and just the right size. I didn't think I would use it but I was pleasantly surprised. CONS: * The lumbar pillow feels too big for the seat and presses too far into my back to be comfortable. I don't know, maybe this is how lumbar pillows work? I never liked her so that might just be my problem. However, this leads to my second argument.* The seat length seems a bit short to me. I'm not talking width (from hips to thighs) but length (from buttocks to knees). I'm not a tall man (5ft 6in) so it's not too much of a problem, but I feel like I'm sitting too far forward. Also, the front of the seat seems to be tilted down a bit so I feel like I might slide off.* The seat is quite hard. Well, rather very solid. So if you're looking for a soft chair to sink into while gaming, this isn't it. I hope it doesn't compress too much as it's already hard as my previous chair was soft at first and ended up becoming hard and painful for seats.* The armrests are rock solid. What I can say about my previous chair is that the armrests were very soft and comfortable. This is a very durable vinyl floor that hardly flexes. You hurt my hands. I may need to wrap them in foam rubber or something to avoid pinching my ulnar nerve. I understand it's cheaper and probably more durable, but it's just impractical. not enough comfort. And I'm only on the first day. So I'm deducting a few stars for the chair. This may not work for me as a long term solution and at $180 it's quite an expensive mistake. I think I'll have to do a trial run for my next chair because the furniture is too expensive to risk.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
