Decent sounding wired and wireless headphones. Transmitter adapter didn't fit headphones

Whenever a product is labeled "ideal for seniors" it draws my attention. In the case of the Golvery wireless headphones, it wasn't immediately clear what makes these headphones more comfortable for the elderly than any other wireless headphones. The headphones come with a puck (Golvery calls it a transmitter adapter). I thought it was only bluetooth. headphone transmitter. Glovery says that "they come in pairs, just slide the switch to turn them and they connect automatically." However, that wasn't the case for me. The puck and headphones would not connect even when both were fully charged. I even tried resetting the puck but there was no sound through the headphones even with the puck plugged into a known good sound source. The kit includes two USB cables to charge both the wireless transmitter and the headphones. A 3.5mm audio cable is also included. I used a 3.5mm cable to connect my Golvery wireless headphones to my studio audio amplifier. This allowed me to judge the quality of the headphones using high-resolution audio files. I listened to both classic rock and jazz songs. Let me start by saying that the Golvery wireless headphones are no match for my Sennheiser HD-580 headphones. Even my Sony MDR-V6 studio headphones outperformed them. Still, the Golvery wireless headphones sounded decent (with minimal lag) for the price. If I had to criticize the sound quality, I would say that the bass is too muddy and the soundstage too compressed. Overall, however, the sound was never punchy and easy to listen to for hours. The overall comfort of the headphones, while not exceptional, was acceptable. Strangely, there is no on/off switch on the headphones, so I'm assuming they're on all the time. This could shorten their claimed 15-hour playtime. There are also no markings on the left and right indicators on the headphones, leaving you guessing how to place them on your head.

Cons
  • Very expensive
