Review on 🚨 Kidde Hardwired Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector with Lithium Battery Backup - Pack of 6 by Michael Hawkins

Good to go! the best in safety and security

I purchased this unit to replace the unit we installed when we built our house. I found it a bit pricey, but the features won me over. When we installed it it went through the testing phases of a fire alarm and a voice saying SMOKE and then a CO2 alarm and then a CO2 speaking. A constant red light shows it's on, and a backup lithium-ion battery to keep it going if we cut power. Our old monitor only worked once many years ago when my son decided to read by the firelight, opening the wood stove and lying on the floor with a book. When the furnace damper was closed, the smoke poured out and rose, setting off the alarm. The old alarm clocks started to chirp a bit - I think they're dusty or have pollen in them - and then I read that you have to change them after a few years. It's been 35 years, so it would make sense to put a new one in. I'm glad it exists, but I hope I never hear it.

Pros
  • Smart technology - combines ionization and electrochemical sensors to detect invisible fire particles and CO gas, 85 decibel fire alarm
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
